My interview with Sean was the longest interview about confidence that I have done out of all 60 interviews to date – it lasted almost 2 hours! And I said LESS than in any other interview! I simply sat back and soaked up everything Sean had to share about his journey into confidence and his tips for creating a life of confidence…

Sean was expected to die at birth because of a rare bone disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta Despite and yet, despite or more probably because of all the challenges he has faced, Sean is now one of the leading authorities on the deconstruction of self–sabotage. In his early years he faced so many reasons to give up and to doubt or pity himself. And yet he never did.

- He has worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Congressman William O. Lipinski and in the White House alongside President Clinton.

Exactly ten years ago, Tony Robbins inspired Sean (at the time a sickly 19 year-old boy) to dream big. REAL BIG. He said create a TEN year vision. And Sean did…

In the vision, he dreamed of writing a book and having it published. He dreamed of creating and launching his own TV show.

Well, last month Sean began filming his TV show, on the A&E network called “3 Foot Giant.” And he also just published his book, Get Off Your “But”: How to End Self-Sabotage and Stand Up for Yourself. It’s already getting rave reviews…

I have to tell you I LOVED it. My copy has a TON of notes scribbled over it from cover to cover.

In January 2009, I set myself a crazy goal – I was going to interview The World’s Most Confident People.

I didn’t know how. I didn’t know who. I didn’t even know where or when. But I did know WHY…

WHY?

Because I felt excited.

I don’t even know if excited is the right word for it – but every time I said to myself I’m gonna interview The World’s Most Confident People I found a great big soppy grin appeared on my face. When I told a couple of people my plan, they said “wow!” or something like that – and my grin got bigger. So I knew I was onto something.

Then I told a whole bunch of people and they thought it was a cool idea. And I got kinda self-important (I do that). Hey, I’m interviewing The World’s Most Confident People.

So I started.

Well, I say I started.

Actually, I did nothing.

Well. Lets be honest. How the HELL do you go about interviewing The World’s Most Confident People, anyway?!

So I did nothing some more.

And then I told Michael Neill. Michael is my mentor and my coach and a friend (www.geniuscatalyst.com) and Michael said, who do you want to interview?

And then I got scared…

I don’t know, I said.

Well, said Michael, if you did know, who would you LOVE to interview…?

Oh, that’s easy, I said. And the names began to tumble out… Richard Branson, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Paul McKenna, Russell Brand, Cesar Milan, Sean Stephenson, Oprah Winfrey…

Great said Michael. Who do you want to interview first?

F@#k! What’s he talking about?! How can I ever interview THEM? Who am I? I don’t even know them. I don’t even know HOW to know them. I don’t even know how to BEGIN to know them.

I hate Michael sometimes.

So I said, how about I interview my friend Decker (after all, he’s pretty famous in the dating world for helping men meet amazing women www.authenticmanprogram.com). And Michael said, well, that’s easy. He’s your friend. Who on your list do you want to interview first?

Did I mention I hate Michael sometimes?

OK, Russell Brand, I said. (Russell Brand’s an English comedian, actor, writer and presenter. He recently starred in the movies Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Bedtime Stories.)

I happen to think he’s very funny. And he doesn’t give a f@#k about what people think of him. I like that. (Most of the time I worry far too much about what people think of me).

Michael jumped up and ran to his computer. Ok, he didn’t run. Michael’s too mellow for that. But he did put Russell Brand’s name into google. After just 5 minutes he’d come up with half a dozen ways for me to contact him. I knew that it might take a little more energy than that but it really wasn’t as difficult as I’d imagined.

Then I got really nervous.

Here I was sitting opposite an internationally renowned Success Coach. A best-selling author, radio-show host and a coach and mentor to celebrities, CEOs and royalty. A man whose books have been translated into 8 languages and who has given talks at the United Nations (www.geniuscatalyst.com).

Jeez. If this wasn’t someone who should be in the book SECRETS of The World’s Most Confident People then nobody should.
